Topcon improving accuracy across workflows at GEO Business 2019
From construction software to UAV scanning and monitoring systems, the first day of this year’s GEO Business saw the Topcon GB team talking about a whole host of our geo solutions.
This year, the event is even more exciting for Topcon, as we launch our new GTL-1000 to the UK construction market. This new product provides the final piece of the jigsaw in a seamless, quick and easy workflow for vertical construction. We’ve hosted VIP sessions for visitors to get hands-on with the new product and to see up-close how the GTL-1000, combined with our MAGNET Collage and ClearEdge3D Verity softwares, can reduce a typical scan and analysis task down to just a few hours.
Dave Bennett, managing director of Topcon GB, said: “There’s been a lot of conversation around data and how the data from Topcon hardware can be integrated into existing workflows to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
“It’s been great to see familiar faces as well as make new contacts and talk about the benefits that engineers, surveyors and project delivery teams are seeing thanks to Topcon technology.”
As part of the knowledge programme at GEO Business, Mat Kellett, mobile mapping, UAV and OEM operations manager, hosted a talk on accessing inspection markets and how UAVs like the Topcon Falcon 8 have helped generate significant cost savings across the oil, gas and offshore industries thanks to a reduced need for platform shut downs. Adam Box, business development manager for vertical construction, also hosted a well-attended session, discussing how construction businesses can make sure they’re hitting the mark and staying within tolerances with the help of ClearEdge3D Verity software.
We rounded off the day by taking part in the GEO Ale Trail, with even more conversations happening on our stand at N1, but with a beer in hand for good measure!
