The Topcon team heads to Digital Construction Week
At Topcon, we always enjoy an opportunity to meet with the industry, find out more about the challenges contractors, surveyors and engineers are facing, and work together to find solutions for more efficient, accurate and safe working processes. This week, we’re at Digital Construction Week, which brings together professionals from across the construction and infrastructure to celebrate best practice, share knowledge and experience, and help to drive forward the adoption of digital in the industry.
Our first day kept the stand team particularly busy, with lots of interest in the Topcon GTL-1000 combined laser scanner and fully-featured robotic total station. As the device is already dramatically reducing scan to data analysis time on active sites with MAGNET and Verity software, enabling regular and accurate verification, the team have been fielding a lot of enquiries about new and different applications for the workflow beyond tall buildings.
Andy Evans, product manager for 3D point clouds, gave an inspiring talk at the Geospatial Theatre on the benefits of hybrid context capture for the creation of a true digital twin. Also on day one, Adam Box, business development manager for vertical construction, provided a quick run-through of the new workflow from the simple and quick GTL-1000 scans, through to analysis against design models for items out of tolerance over at the Tech Stage.
We expect day two to be just as busy with lots of visitors to stand B24, so make sure you come and say hello to explore the Topcon solutions that can keep you one step ahead.
