JJ RHATIGAN & COMPANY GEARS UP FOR BIM WITH THE LARGEST DEAL OF ITS KIND IN IRELAND

We’ve partnered with JJ Rhatigan & Company, a leading Irish building contractor, to help them to implement Building Information Modelling on all of their construction sites. 

With the aim of upskilling their employees in developing the 3D model on site, JJ Rhatigan & Company have introduced 20 new DS-205i Robotic Total Stations to their workflow. To support this initiative, we’ve created a bespoke training programme which has provided more than 30 JJ Rhatigan & Company Engineers with one-to-one training. 

Using the new robotic total stations, JJ Rhatigan & Company Engineers will be able to feed data collected on site directly into BIM models using the integrated Autodesk BIM 360 Field app and Topcon MAGNET Field software. 

Autodesk’s BIM 360 Field app is construction field management software that combines mobile construction technologies with cloud-based reporting, allowing users to manage field data almost anywhere without an internet connection. Similarly, Topcon MAGNET Field allows users to collect positioning data and perform a range of surveying functions - as well as GIS mapping – and then share their data via the cloud.

This new development in the partnership between Topcon and JJ Rhatigan & Company cements a 20 year working relationship and represents a huge investment in modern construction methods. It is the largest investment in this type of technology of its kind in Ireland, and positions JJ Rhatigan & Company as a leading force in BIM technologies.
