MAVinci Desktop creates a flight plan automatically when you select and area of interest and set a ground sampling distance (GSD). The plan is then transmitted directly  to the Sirius unmanned aircraft system (UAS).

After landing the plane, confirm coverage with a quick data check in the field. Using Topcon ContextCapture, generate dense point clouds, reality meshed georeferenced true orthomosaics and DSMs/DTMs from images taken during flights with the Topcon Sirius UAS.

In the MAVinci software, use background maps to visualize and lay out a complete flight plan.

Launch the Sirius UAS

With a pre-written flight plan, the Sirius will complete the entire flight without additional guidance. It will control the camera for thorough coverage and return to the launch point, with geo-located imagery to RTK accuracy.

Process Data

Use ContextCapture for Topcon to import your flight position data, along with imagery, and create orthomosaic or digital terrain models.

Topcon mobile mapping systems are the perfect solution when a massive amount of asset data needs to be collected in a short amount of time. By mounting a mapping system with various integrated sensors (GNSS, laser scanner, camera, IMU, wheel encoders) to a vehicle, users get all field data in a short amount of time. Just drive at normal speeds and get locations and visual detail of all roadside features. There is no need to take time to revisit the field for missing points. Easy to use office software can then be used to make measurements and extract data for GIS or CAD software.

Improved safety

Keep field personnel off the street. Just send one or two people into the field in a vehicle to collect data with a Topcon mobile mapping system. Field personnel are not in harms way when getting feature locations and attributes.

Topcon high accuracy ground data collection (GDC) solutions are the easiest way to get high accuracy data into your GIS database. Work in native shapefile formats in the field so no data conversion steps are necessary. Field software is written from a GIS perspective making the learning curve to getting high accuracy data extremely minimal. Hardware configurations are simple, lightweight and cable-free.
