Showcasing decades of innovation at Agritechnica 2023
That’s a wrap for Agritechnica 2023, where we’ve been exhibiting our latest precision agriculture technology for farms of all sizes and types. This includes solutions for the full agronomic cycle that will help farmers keep up with soaring demand and stay on top of economic and environmental challenges.
Boosting accuracy and efficiency were top of the list for many of the farmers we spoke to at the event, so it was no surprise that our auto-steering, GNSS correction, and digital workflow solutions on show were a hit on the stand!
Looking back on the event, Antonio Marzia, senior vice president and general manager EMEA and APAC at Topcon Agriculture, said: “There should be no entry requirements for farmers looking to unlock the benefits of precision agriculture technology, particularly when all farmers are under pressure, no matter the size of their operations.
“Agritechnica was the perfect place to celebrate Topcon’s history of helping farmers work smarter and more sustainably, and to look forward to a secure and profitable future for the sector, one driven by digital technology.”
Don’t worry if you missed the event – here are a few of the highlights:
All-purpose auto-steering
Visitors to the stand also got their hands on the AGS-2, Topcon’s latest auto-steering receiver and controller. Combining field-proven steering with leading network reception and tracking, the AGS-2 is an ideal solution for any application requiring auto-steering and virtually any agricultural machine type.
Bringing everything together with the Topcon Agriculture Platform
Precision technology works best when it works together, gathering and leveraging data from across a farm’s operations. This is where the Topcon Agriculture Platform (TAP) comes in. The team at Agritechnica sat down with farmers, farming contractors and agronomists to show how TAP can consolidate the advantages of individual solutions into one digital workflow that informs strategic decisions.
Antonio said: “Embracing digital solutions doesn’t mean digging through mountains of data for actionable insights – the Topcon Agriculture Platform provides the automated data workflow farmers need to access what they need when they need it, and make the most of the systems they’ve invested in.”
Unveiling our newest research center
We announced the opening of our latest Research and Validation Center – a 25-hectare site at Topcon Positioning Systems headquarters in Livermore, California. Combined with our existing sites in Adelaide, Australia and Concordia, Italy, the new center means that, whatever the time of day, there’s always testing and research going on at Topcon.
“These sites will ensure Topcon remains at the cutting edge of the industry and that we’re able to fulfil our commitment to putting precision agriculture in the hands of more farmers across the world,” added Antonio.
Demoing next-generation GNSS
Agritechnica attendees were able to see the benefits of the Topnet Live GNSS correction service first hand. GNSS correction is the ‘precision’ in precision agriculture technology, delivering accurate and consistent positions to machines across the crop cycle and all over the world. The newly expanded Topnet offering makes this increased accuracy and reliability available to more farmers.
