Topcon announces eGPS software development kit for Windows Mobile

Topcon Positioning Group announces the release of the eGPS software development kit (SDK) for the Windows Mobile® platform. eGPS acts as an interface link between field controllers and GNSS device hardware and third-party software, providing NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) positioning data.  The SDK is designed to provide tighter integration for third-party software with Topcon interface tools.

“With this SDK, operators no longer need to swap between applications to configure eGPS on their field controllers,” said Jason Hooten, Topcon national sales manager for GIS products.  “The eGPS SDK will bring new levels of accuracy to third-party applications as well as innovative Topcon GNSS technology for superior field data collection.”

eGPS interfaces with most Topcon hand-held field controllers and receivers.
